Bessborough Avenue Parking

Council recommended installing 'Residential Parking Only' signs on Bessborough Avenue to deter commercial parking overflow.

"Discussion centered on recurring parking complaints, mostly originating from one resident (J. O'Farrell) on 292 Bessborough Avenue, regarding overflow parking from the nearby Helmken Road commercial plaza, impacting driveway access on the narrow street (5.8m wide). Although staff felt 'Residential Only' signs might be ineffective due to a 250m commercial parking exemption rule, Council agreed that the signs would serve as a sufficient deterrent to improve resident quality of life."
Formal MotionPassed
"THAT the Committee recommend to Council that "Residential Parking Only" signs be installed on Bessborough Avenue between Helmcken Road and View Royal Avenue."
