"Council reviewed the design of a new 5-storey apartment building. Discussions focused on the requested parking variance (93 required to 92 provided) and landscaping choices, specifically the inclusion of big leaf maples which are currently facing blight. The applicant clarified that while they lost one underground spot due to utility reconfiguration, they are providing nine visitor stalls above ground. Council felt the proximity to the E&N trail and transit routes justified the minor variance."
