Council is correcting an error to add 'Residential' and 'Large Lot Residential' land use categories back into the OCP rules.
"Staff explained that when the OCP was updated for provincial housing legislation (SSMUH), the base residential and large-lot residential descriptions were accidentally deleted. Some properties still require these designations because they don't qualify for the new multi-unit housing zones. Councillor MacKenzie questioned the number of impacted properties."
Formal MotionPassed
"THAT Council give first and second reading to Official Community Plan Bylaw No. 811, 2011, Amendment Bylaw No. 1163, 2026."
