"Councillor Lemon argued the bike lane was 'wasted space' and needed for parking. Mayor Tobias and Councillors Rogers and Mattson argued that the shortage was caused by inadequate parking in a recent development and that removing the bike lane would create a safety hazard for cyclists on a steep, blind hill."
