"Councillor Rogers clarified the history of the 1997 bylaw which prohibited the sale of logs, and noted the amendment is required to allow the beneficial use (sale or reuse by municipalities for projects like bus shelters) of surplus logs generated from necessary thinning operations for fire prevention and climate action in the watershed."
