Helmcken Road - Watkiss Way to Burnside

"THAT high resolution speed limit signs be placed on Helmcken Road in both directions in the Burnside/Watkiss area; AND THAT the Town write to the Ministry of Transportation to request right turn only on the right lane leading up to Helmcken; AND THAT the landscaping of highway medians on Helmcken Road be part of the 2009 budget discussions; AND FURTHER THAT the Town write to ICBC inquiring as to what assistance can be provided in terms of funding for dealing with traffic issues in the north Helmcken area; AND THAT implications of the final design from Watkiss Way - Burnside Road to Helmcken Road be brought back for discussion and with estimated costing as part of the 2009 budget discussion; and THAT staff report back to Council in regard to costs for collecting traffic and speed data in the north Helmcken area."
