"THAT staff provide recommendations for sidewalk and safety improvements on the south side of Watkiss Way from Burnside Road to Talcott Road and forward as a potential item in the 2009 budget; AND THAT staff review school zone signage for the purpose of improving visibility and report back to the Transportation Advisory Committee; encourage community use of speedboards to educate drivers; and ask the RCMP for a report to be provided by February 2009 regarding traffic data for this area. AND FURTHER THAT staff consider road redesign options in accordance with the Transportation Master Plan as part of the long term action plan to improve safety and reduce speed and that options be brought forward to the 2009 budget discussions."
