Public Hearing - Temporary Commercial Use Permit - 1636 Island Highway

"THAT Council approve the Temporary Commercial Use Permit application which will allow the land at 1636 Island Highway to be used for parking for a period of up to two years and will permit the installation of two temporary signs to direct patrons to this parking area, subject to the following conditions: 1. The applicant install temporary fencing along the perimeter of the north side of the parking lot as a safety and security measure. 2. The generator-based temporary lighting be insulated to reduce the noise impact. 3. The direction of the lighting to be downcast onto the lot and vehicles, so as to minimize the light pollution on the neighbours and the highway. 4. The Town receive a Site Remediation deposit, to ensure the concrete posts installed on the site, are adequately removed upon vacancy or end of the permit term, whichever comes first. 5. Lines will be painted on the driveway apron, to delineate right-in and right-out vehicles."
