a) Advisory Committee Terms of Reference

The Committee discussed the possible amendments to the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference specifically regarding the Planning and Development Advisory Committee.

PDAC-01-14 THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the Advisory Committee Terms of Reference specifically for the Planning and Development Advisory Committee be amended to include social and economic development issues as related to land use planning. CARRIED

b) Draft Parks & Trails Guide

The Committee discussed the draft Parks & Trails Guide, specifically:

  • Mellor Park access;
  • walking loop in the Chilco area;
  • Galloping Goose Regional Trail should be identified with a solid line;
  • Indication of bus stops; and
  • Inclusion of boat launches.

c) Business Kiosks

The Committee discussed the possible installation of information kiosks within View Royal that could provide directional, historical and business information. Potential locations could be Portage Park, Chancellor Avenue and Six Mile Road at the Galloping Goose Regional Trail.
