Subject: Tuzo Court - Zoning Bylaw Law 900, 2014 Amendment Bylaw #997
To Whom It May Concern,
As we are unable to attend the Public Hearing this evening (May 15th, 2018) to present our opposition to the above noted development , we wish to submit this email for your consideration.
We find it unacceptable that the trees in the parkland have been removed before the hearing has even take place. This appears to signal that a decision has been made & rubber stamped before Council have even heard from area residents. Not sure how the Municipality of View Royal does business but if this is any indication, it certainly does not take the concerns and well being of its residents seriously. We understand wanting to increase the tax base, but at what cost to the environment and current residents?
The density in this subdivision is high and the fact that Limona now wants to remove what little green space there is here is simply ridiculous. We need the trees and greenery to help deaden the highway traffic noise that is only increasing every single day.
With every home that is added to this subdivision, the vehicle traffic within it increases and not a lot of thought has been given to the flow in and out of the area.
We respectfully request that this development not proceed in the best interests of all the residents.
Sincerely,
Carol Hennig
