To whom it may concern,

This email is in regards to the public hearing regarding Tuzo Court to change some park land into residential, I strongly disagree with this. I cannot make the public hearing on May 15th, but please make sure my voice is heard at the meeting.

I disagree with this for many reasons:

  1. the construction company has already proceeded without permission which is unacceptable on many levels. Unless the zoning is held as park land you would be basically saying that it is ok for construction companies to disregard the zonings and do whatever is in their best interest.
  2. The road noise from the highway is already very high for the rest of the neighbour now that the trees have been cut down, we need what trees we have left to defend against the noise.
  3. The area is designated parkland so that in an area with many houses there is green space around for all the residents (many of whom are children) to enjoy. Please don’t let us loose more parkland in our area.

To disregard zoning permits and go ahead and prepare the site by cutting trees and laying concrete etc should not be allowed. If you pass this re-zoning to residential you will basically be saying that the zoning process doesn’t matter and the construction companies can do whatever they want.

I’m extremely upset that more trees have been damaged or cut down. The land should remain as parkland and the construction company should clear the site of their construction materials, plant trees and put in a playground to provide the children of the area a place to play now that the forest has been removed without consent.

I strongly request that this be kept as a park area, and Limona, the construction company, be forced to revert their changes back into a Park area.

I live on Chilco Road, and the trees that have already been cut down, WITHOUT PERMISSION were very important to me.

Thank you,
Kathryn and Dave Pearson
