Subject: Tuzo Court; Zoning ByLaw No. 900, 2014 Amendment ByLaw No 997 - Tuzo Court
Mayor and Council,
The public hearing regarding Tuzo Court to change some park land into residential, I disagree with! I cannot make the public hearing on May 15th, please make sure my voice is heard.
I disagree with this for many reasons:
- the area is densely populated and green space is desired by the community.
- the construction company has already proceeded without permission and they should have this permission revoked
- The road noise from the highway is already very high for the rest of the neighbour now that they have cut down half of mill hill, we need what trees we have left to defend against the noise!
- They already hacked down 1000s of trees, they SHOULD NOT HAVE already proceeded
Seriously, why did they already prep the land for residential areas, assuming this would pass. That is a serious error on their part, I’m extremely upset that more old-growth trees have been damaged or cut down on this error. As a punishment they should be forced to plant new trees in that area, and prepare the place as a livable space.
I strongly request that this be kept as a park area, and Limona, the construction company, be forced to revert their changes back into a Park area.
I live on Chilco Road, and the trees that have already been cut down, WITHOUT PERMISSION were important to me.
Your decision in this matter with have serious consequences if you approve as come election time I will make it my matter not to vote in your favour when its my time to vote.
Thank you,
Nichola Reddington and Doug Hastie
