RE: WRITTEN SUBMISSION ON BYLAWS 1003, 2018 & 1004, 2018 (JULY 3, 2018 PUBLIC HEARING)

Capital Regional District (CRD) is providing this written submission to the Town of View Royal regarding a Notice of Public Hearing on Tuesday July 3, 2018. This Public Hearing deals with amendments to zoning of the lands legally described as Lot A Section 98 Esquimalt District Plan EPP55974, and the shown shaded areas (Sections A & B) on the Public Hearing notice.

CRD supports both Amendment Bylaw No. 1003 and Amendment Bylaw No. 1004. The proposed zoning amendments to land identified in Section A would provide a significant buffer between Mill Hill Regional Park and residential development, which supports protection of the ecological values of the park.

If both amendments are approved, CRD would be interested discussing options for the future management of the land identified in Section A with the Town of View Royal.
