Rules for the Hearing of Individuals or Delegations by View Royal Municipal Council
Individuals or Delegations wishing to address Council are requested to submit a brief outline of the subject of their presentation, in order that members of Council may familiarize themselves with the issue, in advance of the Council Meeting, and be better prepared to consider the same. Each speaker is therefore asked to complete and submit this form, with any accompanying documentation, to the Municipal Clerk's office by 12:00 noon Thursday preceding the Council meeting, in time for inclusion in the Council's agenda package.
Presentations are limited to a maximum of fifteen (15) minutes per subject matter. (Note: The time limit may be extended by unanimous resolution of Council.)

- MY REASON FOR APPEARING IS to provide Council with an update on the British Columbia Aviation Museum's concrete apron project for which the Town of View Royal provided a grant in aid in 2012.

Outline of Presentation to View Royal Council
- During 2012 the British Columbia Aviation Museum was awarded a grant-in-aid in the amount of $2,000 in support of the concrete apron project.
- By year end 2012 donations totaling of $15,500 in cash and $8,000 in-kind had been accumulated for this project.
- The in-kind donation was for the installation of a culvert and ditch crossing that is a necessary precursor to construction of the apron.
- The in-kind donation replaced the requirement to draw on the accumulated cash to install the culvert.
- As of the Museum's Annual General Meeting in February 2013 a Director has been elected and charged with seeking funding for the concrete apron project. This focused effort is expected to significantly increase the pace of fund accumulation for the apron project.
- The British Columbia Aviation Museum continues to expand its positive role in the Greater Victoria area.
- Continued recognition of this well-run community asset is appropriate.
