Dear Mayor Hill:

We are writing to you from 126 Hallowell Rd. in View Royal which is located along the E & N Railway Track on the N. W. side of Aldersmith Gardens. Our immediate neighbours just across the street from our Complex is the Esquimalt Native Band. As you or may not know Esquimalt F.N. is home to Trio Readi-mix and a large dumpsite next to Hallowell Rd. This dumpsite has emerged in the last year. It is unsightly to say the least and because the contents of this dump are unknown it could very well be a source of rats, toxcins, etc.

The public health and public safety are most likely at risk. Furthermore, the environmental impact on the land is extremely worrisome. If this F.N. Band wants to be a good neighbour, it would seem that rather than inflict this unsightly potentially poisoness mess on the public, they would remove it.

We are not happy with this latest assault on the land as if Trio Cement works was not enough. The dust that accumulates daily in our townhouses from Trio is unbearable. The noise that starts many days before 6 in the morning from Trio's equipment is already disturbing.

We are hoping that your influence with the Band might alleviate our concerns in short order.
