Regarding: Lakeside Commercial Development Permit Amendment

Dear Mayor and Council,

For your consideration, we have enclosed supporting documents to have three changes introduced to Development Permit No. 2013/15,

Proposed Changes:

  1. Due to the requirement of meeting recently adopted changes to the BC Building Code we request approval to install awnings continuously along the buildings facing the western setback. The installation of these awnings are to meet shading requirements for energy savings and the total encroachment into the setback is 1.925m See keynote 'M' on the attached drawings.

  2. Approval is also required for a slight change in location of a retaining wall at the SW corner of the parking lot as indicated in the enclosed documents. The height of this wall remains the same with the highest part being 4.5m tall, tapering to 2.5m within an 11m span. See keynote 'G' on the attached drawings.

  3. Our final request meets all bylaw requirements and we seek support for the inclusion of a 30 sq-m deck to be added to Building B. See keynote 'L' on the attached drawings.

Sincerely,

Dave Coster Project Manager, XW Sunrise Developments Ltd.
