BYLAW NO 882, 2014 BEING A BYLAW TO EXPEND MONIES IN THE DCC PARK IMPROVEMENT RESERVE

RECOMMENDATION:

TO provide first three readings to Development Cost Charge Reserve Fund Expenditure Bylaw No. 882, 2014.

CHIEF ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICER'S COMMENTS:

I concur with the recommendation.

BACKGROUND:

Council has authorized the expenditure of $37,000 from the Development Cost Charges for Park Improvements in developing Welland Legacy Park.

This project is now underway and Section 935 of the Local Government Act states that authority to make payments from a Development Cost Charge Reserve Fund must be authorized by bylaw. Bylaw 882 will give the Town the authority to fund this project from the DCC Park Improvement Fund.

RECOMMENDATION:

TO provide first three readings to Development Cost Charge Reserve Fund Expenditure Bylaw No. 882, 2014.
