I'm gonna call this special council meeting of May 10th, 2022 to order.
I'm Councillor Gery Lemon and I'm acting in place of his worship Mayor Screech, who is going to be attending the meeting but remotely because he has a bug.
So I'm I'm I'm holding the fork in this room.
We're going to begin this evening with a short special meeting before moving back into the Committee of the Whole meeting.
This meeting is called to order and we recognize the Lekwungen speaking people known today as the Esquimalt Nation and Songhees Nation, and that their historic connections to these lands continues to this day.
Later this evening, we will hear from the public during the public participation portion of the agenda for the cat for the committee of the whole.
And there will be a question period as well.

We have been in budget discussions since February and uh we've had many, many, many meetings, and this just finalizes the budget for 2022.
