Good morning,
Thank you for providing a very thorough accounting of the research and discussion devoted to the topic of increasing the membership of View Royal Council. I appreciate receiving the information as I was unable to attend the public open house on November 15. It is obvious that the Mayor, Councillors and support staff of our community are hardworking and conscientious. There are convincing arguments for adding two more Councillors: to bring diversity, more voices, greater opportunities to liaise with local citizens and area Councils etc. Looking forward, Council can focus on planning for the challenges of climate change and protecting our beautiful natural areas from too much development. Of course keeping a sensible budget with reasonable tax increases is always a concern of citizens. Presuming that the additional councillors will efficiently help direct the Town of View Royal with these and other matters, I can understand the need to increase the number of Councillors.

Item number six on the agenda for the November 16 council meeting indicates an opportunity for public discussion for the above topic. Can the need for the additional councillors be explained please?
