Re: Final Report – Grant-in-Aid for Hall Roof Replacement View Royal File # 1850

Dear Mr. Vella,

On behalf of the Strawberry Vale & District Community Club, we would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Town of View Royal for the generous Grant-in-Aid contribution of $10,000 toward the replacement of our hall roof.

We are pleased to report that the roof replacement project has been successfully completed and has been acknowledged in our membership newsletter that was recently printed as well as the existing sign acknowledging the generous support of View Royal.

Project Revenue:

• $10,000 Grant in Aid from View Royal
• $39,686 remaining funds from SVDCC general funds including fund raising

Project Expenses:

• $25,200 Progress payment
• $24,486 Final payment

The total cost of the project was $49,686, funded through a combination of community fundraising efforts over the last few years, the halls general revenue and the Town’s much appreciated Grant-In-Aid support of $10,000.

The new roof will ensure the long-term preservation of our community hall, which continues to serve as an important gathering place for local events, weddings, funerals, meetings, and recreational programs.

Thank you again to the Town of View Royal for supporting community initiatives like ours and for helping us maintain this valuable community space.
