Hello,
My name is Lyndsay and I on a side road off Burnside rd w. Close to the burnside and helmcken intersection.
I am reaching out because I have lived in my home for over 5 years and this past year the traffic along burnside has gotten significantly worse. Burnside is being used as a third lane to the highway. My new average drive time from Marigold school to High st is 30 minutes- the distance is 1 km. Yes we often walk but sometimes I will drive if I have an errand to run.
The two issues to address are:
- The intersection at helmcken and burnside. There is no turning lane and this contributes to the backup of traffic for those trying to get to the highway.
- Burnside being used as a third lane to the highway. How can this road be used for local traffic only
