RE: Operating Support for Foundry West Shore

At its Regular Meeting held Monday, July 21, 2025, the City of Langford Council passed a resolution supporting, in principle, a five year, $100,000 per year financial contribution to Thrive to support the Foundry West Shore locating at the 777 Station Avenue site.

Council further directed that letters be sent to West Shore municipalities encouraging that they consider providing a similar financial contribution.

Considering our shared commitment to regional growth and community well-being, we are reaching out to neighboring municipalities to request that you consider providing financial support Foundry West Shore. This collaborative investment will not only benefit residents within our municipality but will also enhance access and services for surrounding communities. By supporting the Foundry, we can achieve a more sustainable and impactful outcome, reflecting our collective values and priorities.

Sincerely,

Mayor Scott Goodmanson
City of Langford
