Letter from Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre Society Re: 2025 Grant in Aid

The Juan de Fuca Performing Arts Centre Society (PACS) would like to thank View Royal for your generous contribution of $2,000 towards the hosting of the April 2025 Artists Workshop.

This workshop brought together more than 70 arts and associated organisations from across the south Island. We received very supportive feedback for PACS’ feasibility study for the proposed West Shore arts and culture centre, as well as excellent ideas from the participants.

Secondly, many thanks to Director Tobias for his support to the proposed regional performing arts service at the recent Capital Regional District meeting (July 9). This initiative will benefit arts groups throughout the region, and will bring particular benefits to the proposed West Shore theatre through the availability of planning grants and (once built) contributions to operating costs. PACS was delighted to see strong support from most of the region’s municipalities, and we hope that View Royal will continue to champion this initiative as it moves forward.

Please save the date! On Thursday November 6th, PACS will be hosting a fundraising Gala event which promises to be an entertaining evening. We will be sending invitations in the coming weeks, and hope that many of you will be able to join us.
