Dear Mayor Tobias and Council,

I’ve been 33 years of being a resident in this charming area which was a not-quite-on-the map municipality when I moved here. With its common sense municipal governing I’ve had the feeling as a citizen that I can be in touch with my municipality when I need to & be confident that I will be listened to. It is a jewel to be preserved and to try to stay within our means while still meeting the necessary needs.. (i.e. not a Langford, ha.).

I wish to add my voice to those who advise that we feel this time of economic crises & climate catastrophes would limit projects to being in the category of “must be dealt with now."

Also,I think that a regional police service should be covering the entire region. Could the new Westshore police building idea first have the mayors all gather together and discuss how they could proceed if there is one jurisdiction for the policing of Greater Victoria?

Thank you and my regret I cannot be at the Tuesday meeting.
