Dear Mayor and Council
Let’s NOT reduce the speed limits on the major roads including Island Hwy. This will just add to the already bad congestion and add to greenhouse gas emissions from increased traffic jams. I notice nothing is being done to increase road capacity despite the large increases in VR population.
If you want to reduce it on side residential roads fine, but in my experience people seem to ignore the limits anyway and it will only be effective if you add speed bumps etc, which are expensive.
