Hello Council,
Please take to heart the recent letter from David Screech in regards to the potential reduction of funding to the CRD Arts Development Fund.
The citizens of View Royal benefit from the investment in arts and culture and to make this move without consulting them could backfire significantly.
As you see in the attached document, every dollar invested generates $1.57 in induced GDP.
It has been my pleasure over the years to tour work to the community of View Royal on the back of a flatbed pickup. I have found the audiences there to be enthusiastically receptive and supportive of the arts.
