Regarding the Development at 430 Six Mile Road Re Rezoning

We moved to this area to take advantage of the Lake, biking, walking trails and General family area where kids can play , WALK A PET without Industry etc..

If this was not our intention we would have picked downtown Colwood or Langford right immediately near all the shopping and noise you need. PAID LESS ALSO

Six Mile Road is short and BUSY. It would be nice to just live in a residential area even though everything you need is close by.

An apartment or Condo's suited to anyone justifies your development but any type of business is totally UNNCESSARY and an insult to us who paid large sums to have this lifestyle.

An appropriate place for a small store would have been ANYWHERE BY THE SIX MILE PUB TOWARDS COLWOOD. THERE ARE LOTS OF STORES WITHIN THAT LOCATION WITHOUT DRIVING ONTO SIX MILE. View Royal has already had a problem with graffiti and you are encouraging anyone who has nothing to do but come into the area and have a reason to linger. This lingering in a residential area where police etc do not pass by creates nothing but problems. Thrown wrappers, pop tins and the like create a garbage problem.

If I want any item at any time within a short time there is more than enough places without your adventure. THIS SHORT ROAD DOES NOT NEED ANY MORE CARS.

Sometimes the way people think it is no wonder there is so much crime.

What does a person do to protect against this? If I had moved into the area's by choice, my problem, but when do we ever have a quiet style, proven to recognize our rights?

YOU WOULD NOT MOVE INTO OAK BAY AREA ON A SHORT STREET next to a beautiful Park AND SETUP SHOP, WHY IS VIEW ROYAL ANY DIFFERENT?

WE ARE MORE THAN UNSUPPORTIVE BUT ANGRY YOU ARE EVEN ALLOWED TO PLACE A SIGN UP!!!!! This small area does not need anymore congestion.

It is not enough that the City of View Royal allows any Developer to move in and take every tree in sight - You will say Development Cost, but trees as a buffer both for privacy and noise against a Trans Canada Highway would be a start. Charge a bit more for the home. Just for the record we pay large dollars supposedly for a nice quiet area. WHY???

Homeowners who seem to have no say in anything in View Royal.

We would be interested in your response as to why this was even discussed.

Kind regards,
