2 APPROVAL OF AGENDA
November 27, 2014

November 27, 2014

Town of View Royal Mayor & Council 45 View Royal Avenue Victoria, BC V9B 1A6

Dear Mayor and Members of Council:

On behalf of the Board and staff of CREST, congratulations on your new term in office. As a new Council, we are writing to offer a presentation to Council and/or a committee of Council on CREST.

CREST operates a radio system that provides emergency communications for police, fire and other safety service providers in the Capital Region. The system supports over 2,000 emergency service providers from 50 different agencies that put over 7.5 million calls, one every 4 seconds, through the system last year. Your local government shares in the use and funding of his service for your community.

As a shareholder, we would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the benefits of CREST and the relationship that exists between shareholders, users and ourselves, and share information on the work being done to continually maintain and upgrade the system.

Please contact Gord Horth, General Manager at 250-391-6552 or ghorth@crest.ca to coordinate a suitable time. Thank you for your consideration of this request.

Sincerely,

Gordie Logan, Chair Capital Region Emergency Service Telecommunications (CREST) Inc.
