The Regular Council meeting saw the adoption of several key financial and regulatory bylaws for 2009, including the Financial Plan Bylaw (740) and Tax Rates Bylaw (741), both of which passed with opposition from Councillors Britton and Rogers regarding property tax increases. Council also approved the amended 2009 West Shore Parks and Recreation budget and directed staff to investigate partnering with Esquimalt on an Integrated Resource Management (IRM) study regarding sewage treatment.
