Letter from Victoria Foundation regarding Victoria’s Vital Signs Report

Dear Mayor and Council of View Royal,

The Victoria Foundation recently released the 17th edition of Victoria’s Vital Signs report. The report measures the vitality of our region, identifies significant trends and assigns grades in twelve issue areas critical to our quality of life. We would be pleased to make a presentation for you on the findings of this year’s report.

Through this annual community check-up, we aim to stimulate discussion and spark action by underscoring the most pressing needs and opportunities in our region. We also hope to inspire and motivate people to come together to make our community the best it can be. A presentation to council will provide valuable information about what is going on in the region and in your municipality.

The 2022 edition of Vital Signs focuses on exploring the question of what community means to different people from diverse perspectives, including what is working well in our region and where we can improve.

For nearly 20 years, Vital Signs has provided important information and data that increases our understanding of our community. The report helps the Victoria Foundation connect donors to needs and opportunities, make impactful grants, and convene people on issues of importance.
