a) From the May 11, 2021 Committee of the Whole meeting:
Thetis Lake Park Cost Recovery Bylaw - Rescues THAT the Committee recommend to Council that Thetis Lake Park Emergency Response Services Cost Recovery Bylaw No. 1073, 2021 be referred back to staff to gather input from Capital Regional District and seek clarification on Section 2.0 provisions including applicability to only Thetis Lake Park; retention of alcohol and drug references; evidentiary requirements; determination of one metre jump or dive height; and the ability to collect the user fee. (COW-20-21)
West Shore RCMP Update THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the Mayor write to the Minister of Public Safety and Solicitor General expressing concern about the lack of accountability and increased risk to communities due to the high number of charges that are being dropped - and therefore not proceeding through the court system - due to the COVID-19 pandemic; AND THAT this letter be sent to all municipalities in the Capital Region. Draft Public Art Policy No. 0100-053 THAT the Committee recommend to Council that draft Public Art Policy No. 0100-053 be referred to the Community Development Advisory Committee. (COW-22-21)
