a) Email dated January 26, 2021 from C. Bremner, Administrative Assistant, Re: West Shore Parks and Recreation Second COVID-19 Grant Request
Councillor Kowalewich noted the funding request is to assist the Society in restoring programs and staff and purchasing COVID-related sanitization and safety equipment.

C-11-21 THAT the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society (WSPRS) COVID-19 Restart Grant second stream funding request detailed in the WSPRS staff member’s report dated January 26, 2021 be approved in the amount of $53,947 to be funded from the Casino reserve account subject to the other owners agreeing to provide their requested funding. CARRIED Councillor Mattson opposed
b) Email dated January 25, 2021 from T. Petropoulos, President, Victoria and Vancouver Island Greek Community Society, Re: 200th Anniversary of Greek Independence Initiative

c) Letter received February 2, 2021 from J. Wilson, President & CEO, The Wilson’s Group of Companies, Re: Tofino Bus Letter of Support Request

C-13-21 THAT the Town write to the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure supporting a short-term emergency COVID recovery contract between Tofino Bus and the Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure to continue the Wilson’s Group of Companies Tofino Bus until ridership is restored. CARRIED

Council and staff discussed permit timelines and processes in comparison to other municipalities.

b) Zoning Bylaw No. 900, 2014, Amendment Bylaw No. 1062, 2020 A Bylaw to Amend the Zoning Bylaw Regarding Electric Vehicle and Electric Bicycle Charging Infrastructure
