Council Appointees to Climate Action Strategy Workshops
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council appoint two members of Council to participate in the Community Climate Action Strategy Workshops on September 22, 2021 at 6:00 pm and on October 4, 2021 at 6:00 pm.

I concur with the recommendation.
PURPOSE OF REPORT:
For Council to appoint two members of Council to participate in workshops related to the Community Climate Action Strategy on September 22nd and October 4th. The same members of Council are requested to participate in both workshops as the content of the second builds on materials covered in the first workshop.
BACKGROUND DISCUSSION:
Council awarded the Climate Action Strategy to Community Energy Association on the basis of the strength of their proposal. The online workshops were part of the proposal and will include representation from diverse stakeholder groups. There is space for two members of Council to participate in these workshops and an engagement summary will be provided to all of Council after.
The content of the workshops is linked and participation by the same two Councilors is requested.
