a) J. Lawlor, Executive Director, West Shore Chamber of Commerce, Re: Report on 2017 Funding and 2018 Plan for the Town of View Royal

Ms. Lawlor provided an overview of the West Shore Chamber of Commerce operations and programs.

Council and Ms. Lawlor discussed funding sources; networking events; and hosting of events during local government elections.

b) J. Powell, Connections Place Society, Re: Introduction of the Clubhouse Model

J. Powell, Chair, P. Reshaur and A. Ashby, Board Members, introduced the Clubhouse Model to Council. The Connections Place Society is hoping to establish this world renowned model of psycho/social rehabilitation in the Greater Victoria area to assist those struggling with mental illness.

Council and Ms. Powell discussed funding; similar operations in BC; membership; and letters of support from other agencies.

C-55-18 THAT the Town of View Royal provide a letter of support to Connections Place Society regarding their goal of establishing a Clubhouse International in the Greater Victoria area. CARRIED
