    a) Request for Approval to Participate in Royal Roads University (RRU) Capstone Project

    Staff Recommendation:

    THAT Council approve the Town of View Royal's participation in the capstone project: "Disaster Resilient Communities” being conducted by the Master of Applied Disaster and Emergency Management (MADEM) cohort from RRU;

    AND THAT Council approve, as part of the capstone project, the Town of View Royal's application for nomination to the United Nations (UN) “Making Cities Resilient: 2010-2011 World Disaster Reduction Campaign”.

    b) Appointment of Representative to the West Shore Parks and Recreation Society (WSPRS) Owner Members' Annual General Meeting

    1. Motion to appoint a representative to the WSPRS Annual General Meeting to be held on June 23, 2011

    c) Appointment of Bylaw Enforcement Officer

    Staff Recommendation:

    THAT Daniel Jones be appointed as Bylaw Enforcement Officer.

    Recommendations:

    • Hart Road Latecomer Agreement
      1. THAT the Committee recommends to Council that the Hart Road latecomer payments be applied to benefiting properties as per the draft Latecomer Agreement attached to the staff report dated March 3, 2011 from the Senior Planner, even if the Latecomer Agreement is not signed by all parties. (COW-20-11)
