View Royal is seeking public input into the Park Plan for View Royal Park, the municipality’s largest park. View Royal Park is classified as a ‘Community Park’, a large park with passive or active recreational facilities that serve the entire population of the municipality. ‘Community Parks’ typically provide passive recreation areas that feature special natural features. The Park currently comprises large open fields including an off-leash dog area, a playground, a picnic table, walking trails and a small gravel parking lot. The park is located immediately west of Craigflower Creek.

The Town has contracted LADR Landscape Architects to develop a Park Plan to guide future development within View Royal Park. The Plan will be completed by March 2010.
