To the Mayor & Members of Council
Attached is an open letter to all British Columbia municipalities from organizations representing hundreds of electric vehicle (EV) owners, or advocates indicating measures that are needed at the municipal level to accelerate the adoption rate of electric vehicles.
The transportation sector accounts for 37% of all greenhouse gas emissions in BC and represents a major opportunity to reduce the province's carbon footprint and improve air quality. EVs emit no carbon dioxide, no nitrous oxides, and no carbon particulates.
