Council amended the Town's allocation of regional transportation priority points, shifting some focus from Governance to Non-Bus Mass Transit.
"The Mayor expressed frustration that the priority setting was being handled by elected officials rather than experts providing a vision for world-class transportation. Councillor Lemon proposed allocating points to Non-Bus Mass Transit (Island Rail Corridor, ferries). Council voted to reallocate points: 75 to Governance and 25 to Non-Bus Mass Transit, and requested staff suggest to the CRD that Governance/Funding be combined with Policy/Advocacy priorities for a stronger grouping."
