Council reviewed the updated permit application for shoreline restoration, including new retaining walls, stairs, and a reduced boathouse size.
"Council members noted the significant improvements and responsiveness of the owner, Mr. Law, particularly moving from concrete to natural wood stairs and decreasing the boathouse footprint. Councillor Rogers emphasized the new retaining wall would prevent soil sluffing into the marine environment. Councillor Mattson remained skeptical about the amount of unnatural rock and brickwork but accepted the motion to move forward. Mr. Law confirmed planting schemes for the setback area and using concealed concrete."
