G. Brown, Administrator and W. Wu, Manager of Finance and Administration, West Shore Parks and Recreation, Re: Draft 2022 West Shore Parks and Recreation Budget

The Council voted to approve the draft budget for West Shore Parks and Recreation, despite concerns raised about the long-term viability of their capital reserves.

"G. Brown presented the 2022 budget, noting a projected 5.14% requisition increase (less for View Royal due to assessment growth) and acknowledged the challenge of reserve continuity, which is projected to deplete by 2024. Council inquired about the status of the skate park funding (awaiting grant decision) and underlying inflationary projections (2.5%)."
Formal MotionPassed
"THAT the Committee recommend to Council that the draft 2022 West Shore Parks and Recreation budget be approved."
