Full-time firefighter staff increase

Council supported hiring one new full-time firefighter position in 2021 to maintain service levels and support the volunteer program.

"The department hasn't had a full-time staffing increase since 2009. The need is driven by increased call volume, building density, and the departure of volunteer staff who previously worked in Town Hall. Council ultimately supported the critical need for the position."
