"Council discussed ongoing traffic congestion on the West Shore, prompted by resident concerns about the Helmcken/Burnside intersection, which is partly controlled by Saanich. Council passed two motions: 1) request staff to summarize the traffic impact assessment from the previous Aspire development rezoning process to inform current council; 2) authorize the Mayor to write to the provincial Minister of Transportation regarding chronic West Shore traffic challenges."
