"Councillor Rogers moved to advocate for expanding BC Transit's free youth pass eligibility (up to age 13) and providing discounts for older youth (14-18), funded via a CRD region-wide levy. Supporters emphasized encouraging transit use early and providing financial relief to families. Councillor MacKenzie opposed, expressing concern about imposing a new levy on residents amidst inflation."
