View Royal Archives (Committee of the Whole Recommendation)

"THAT the View Royal Community Archives be established as a municipal entity as part of the 2008 budget process; AND THAT the proposed View Royal Archives policy be adopted; AND THAT staff be directed to pursue institutional membership of the Archives in the Archives Association of British Columbia; AND THAT the Mayor and Clerk be authorized to enter into a materials transfer agreement with the appropriate volunteer members of the View Royal Community Archives upon receipt of institutional membership in the Archives Association of British Columbia; AND FURTHER THAT staff be directed to continue dialogue with the City of Colwood regarding the viability of sharing resources, including the formation of an Intermunicipal Archives, in the future."
