"The Mayor initiated a discussion about perceived underutilization and structural deficiencies within the advisory committees (ACs), noting feedback that committees sometimes lack the right focus or expertise, and desire for hybrid meeting options. Councillor Brown preferred retaining the status quo but utilizing ACs more frequently. Councillor Rogers argued strongly against the status quo, advocating for transportation to be a separate committee and noting that committees currently lack the expertise or time for deep analysis, recommending a full Strategic Planning workshop on the issue."
