Applicant’s Statement – Gord and Karen Wade
Typed letter from the applicants explaining the financial and family hardship necessitating the suite addition.
To whom it may concern:
We, Gord and Karen Wade are writing this letter to request an addition to our home at 107 Meadowpark Lane.
The purpose of the addition is to add accommodations for Karen’s parents to move into and spend the remainder of their retirement in a permanent location with us.
The reason for this situation is due to financial hardship which has occurred due to their daughter’s marriage breaking up which has caused her and her 3 children to have to move out of their home. She had to dissolve all her family assets and sell her home due to her divorce and other financial hardships she couldn’t afford to support herself and her 3 children.
Our parents having the family first attitude have sacrificed their home and retirement plans to help her out by purchasing a home for them to live in.
Now due to the situation and the housing market being as volatile as it is today they can’t afford to purchase a home of their own.
The best solution is for us to add an accommodation to our home for them to have a stable permanent living situation.
It allows me to be close to my parents and know they are safe and comfortable and will be cared for as they continue to get older and are needing more help.
For all they have done for us over the years we feel it is time to pay it back, and feel this is the least we can do for two of the most selfless people I know and love.
Thank you for your consideration
Gord and Karen Wade
