COUNCIL AND COMMITTEE OF THE WHOLE 2017 MEETING SCHEDULE
RECOMMENDATION:
THAT Council adopt the Council and Committee of the Whole 2017 meeting schedule.

PURPOSE OF REPORT:
To provide Council with the 2017 schedule for Council and Committee of the Whole meetings.
DISCUSSION:
The proposed 2017 Council and Committee of the Whole meeting schedule is provided as Attachment “A”.
The 2017 Union of British Columbia Municipalities’ Convention is being held in Vancouver from September 25-29, 2017 and the Association of Vancouver Island and Coastal Communities’ Convention is being held April 7-9, 2017 in Campbell River. These event dates do not conflict with the proposed 2017 Council and Committee of the Whole meeting schedule.
In keeping with past practice over a number of years, the first proposed meeting in January is the Committee of the Whole (set for Tuesday, January 10, 2017) given that Town Hall will be closed for winter holidays and will re-open on Tuesday, January 3, 2017.
