Thank you for the information. I do have some additional concerns. There is another road [ Seenuptin ] on the Esquimalt First Nations Land that could be extended so that the Hallowell Road inhabitants can be spared this stress, traffic noise, and pollution from the truck exhaust and cement dust...This road "agreement " has many goals that are not reliant on this proposal going through.. The E & N Trail will be extended onto Hallowell Road .The trail users will have to cross over in front of continual , oncoming cement trucks to reach the other side of the trail . The trail bikers and pedestrians will be subject to the noise and pollution as well - not fresh air.
I have been told that the Thetis Cove Lands are owned by a numbered company from Calgary . Another developer would have a hard time selling this as a residential area with Trio running these cement trucks through non - stop 12 hrs./day for 6 days a week. Your previous council denied approval for a sewage treatment plant because it was too close to a residential area - same scenario now.
There was a mention of new business ?? More trucks ??
The only ones benefiting from this agreement are Trio who can get their concrete out faster but , there is another route available...
We came here because this community had a quiet , healthy , and quality life style..
