Dear Mayor and Council,
We are requesting your approval for this development variance application to retain the existing original garage that was build in 1952. Our garage is 20 feet wide by 22 feet long.
- It is the original detached garage that matches architecturally to our house.
- To demolish and remove this building would be a financial hardship.
- To demolish and remove this building would unnecessarily add to the land fill and not be environmentally responsible.
- Removing the build would negatively affect the neighbours with noise and truck traffic.
- Removing the build would negative affect the neighbours as this building creates a pleasurable backdrop between the properties.
- Our lot is an ample 18,500 square feet with site coverage of 16%.
In closing we hope you will consider this application as this garage has been well maintained and is in very good condition.
