PURPOSE:
To establish a policy for finalization of rezoning.
DEFINITIONS:

POLICY:
- Council shall consider finalization of rezoning as premature until the developer shows how the proposed development is to be serviced, and such methods of servicing are reviewed by staff and determined to be acceptable; and
- Staff is authorized to prepare a letter of comfort for the developer to provide to any financial institution who may be contemplating financing the project, confirming that the rezoning would usually be finalized upon completion by the developer of whatever conditions (as determined by Council), remain unresolved.
